The Glory of the Kings of Ethiopia:

The book “Kebra Nagas, the Rastafarians’ secret Bible” is the first translation of an old Ethiopian text (written approximately in the IV century after Christ), whose title “Kebra Nagast” in Amharic (archaic Ethiopian language) means “The Glory of the Kings”.

Said text was translated along the centuries in several languages, however it was impossible to find it till now in a Spanish edition: the only publications relating to the Kebra Nagast in Spain dated from the XVI century, and was about two incomplete editions limited to few chapters – probably translated from Portuguese in Spanish (published in Toledo, 1528; and Barcelona, 1547).

All publishings of ‘Kebra Nagast’ going around in different languages have found a remarkable success.

Why can this Ethiopian book of the IV century after Christ be so important nowadays?

Because this ancient text tells the story of the son of the man from Adam to Jesus Christ; because it narrates and explains the interesting religious tradition of the old Ethiopian Empire, whose last King was the Negus Haile Selassie I; but particularly because it is the sacred text of a spiritual movement which always gets stronger and more countries, thanks to the “Reggae” music and singers such as Bob Marley: Rastafarian movement.
